Since the mid-1990s, Shimmick company Legacy Foundations has been providing self-perform geotechnical and foundations services for critical infrastructure projects. Legacy a complete portfolio of deep foundation, slope stabilization, shoring systems; and ground improvement services. Legacy also maintains a large fleet of specialized equipment fleet.
Shimmick has a long history of completing complex water projects, ranging from the world’s largest wastewater recycling and purification system in California to the record-setting Hoover Dam. In 2021, we began a transformation to re-envision our strategy to meet the nation’s growing need for water and other critical infrastructure.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
New employees will have an opportunity to work in the field with our foundation installation crews and be responsible for documenting and reporting on the Quality Control aspects of the work.
Many quality control documents are required to be prepared by Legacy Foundations in order to gain acceptance of the work by the Owner or Owner Agency. Legacy Foundations Quality Control program is based on both scientific and engineering principles, thus making it interesting and challenging to those persons with either an engineering or science degree.

Computer skills include Microsoft Office suite, and Legacy Foundations will provide training on in-house specialty software either for field documentation purposes, running instrumentation, or job specific document control.

The salary range for this position is between $75,000 - 95,000 per year depending on experience and/or education.
